The OCEANIC project has developed protective coatings for ocean renewable energy devices with the aim of increasing their reliability and lifespan (OCEANIC coating). To achieve this, a new technique emerging from the maritime transport sector has been used, which prevents marine organisms from fouling through the trace emission of an organic biocide.
