In 2022, to mark its 25th anniversary, INOVA+ launched the first edition of this Prize, dedicated to Scientific and Business Innovation: the first award of its kind in Portugal. ANI was part of the jury panel for this edition, which resulted in around 230 expressions of interest and 50 formalised applications.<\/p>\n\n
The INOVA+ Prize aims to recognise differentiating products, services, solutions and\/or technologies in emerging areas, capable of responding to the main European priorities.<\/p>\n\n
This second edition is divided into three categories: Scientific Innovation, Business Innovation and Innovation for Creative Cities. In each category, the first place winner will receive a cash prize of 5,000 euros, while the second and third place winners will have access to specialised consultancy services worth 2,500 euros.<\/p>\n\n
Applications are open until 21 June 2024. Subsequently, the candidate projects will be assessed by the jury, chaired by Eurico Neves, Chairman of INOVA+, and made up of representatives of the partner organisations of the INOVA+ 2024 Award: ANI – National Innovation Agency, the Portuguese Industrial Association (AIP), the Coordinating Council of Higher Polytechnic Institutes (CCISP), the Council of Rectors of Portuguese Universities (CRUP) and the Directorate-General for the Arts (DGArtes).<\/p>\n\n
The Innovation for Creative Cities category will have an additional evaluation period, during which six finalists selected by the jury will be subject to a public vote to decide the three winners. The winners of all the categories will be announced in October.<\/p>\n\n
This initiative has the high patronage of His Excellency, the President of the Republic.<\/p>\n\n
