Full Professor of Industrial Engineering and Management currently holding the position of President of the National Agency for Innovation, SA (ANI). He has previously held academic management positions at NOVA School of Science and Technology as Head of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Director of the research center UNIDEMI, Member of the Board of NOVA.ID, Director of the PhD Program in Industrial Engineering, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Madan Parque Incubator, and Member of the Board of Directors of UNINOVA. <\/span><\/p>\n

As a professor he teaches subjects such as Technological Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Product Development, Information Systems, Decision Models, Digital Supply Chains and Project Management. <\/span><\/p>\n

Ant\u00f3nio Grilo has managed more than 20 research & development and innovation projects, mainly in partnership with companies. He has published more than 115 articles with more than 2200 citations of his scientific papers.<\/span><\/p>\n

S\u00edlvia Garcia is a Board Member at the National Innovation Agency (ANI). She holds a PhD in Biotechnology, a postgraduate degree in Industrial Management, and a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Science and Technology at NOVA University Lisbon (FCT NOVA). She combines a strong scientific background with a strategic vision for innovation and public policy.<\/p>\n

With around 20 years of experience at the intersection of science, technology and society, she has dedicated her career to promoting a culture of collaborative innovation, developing public policies that value knowledge, and building bridges between the scientific community and industry. Her work has focused on driving multidisciplinary R&D projects, both national and international, and on fostering strategic partnerships that promote emerging technologies and strengthen Portugal\u2019s innovation ecosystem.<\/p>\n
