For the first time, Portugal was invited to participate in the 19 working groups (WG) of the G20 as an Observer Country, representing an unprecedented opportunity to enhance the country’s international relations. For the Research and Innovation WG, the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the National Innovation Agency (ANI) were contacted, and it was agreed that the International Affairs Unit of ANI would be the focal point and coordinate contributions from the research and innovation community for the G20 discussions. <\/p>\n
