The program aims to address the challenges and propose solutions to change food consumption patterns, with a special focus on increasing the consumption of plant-based foods, such as fruit, vegetables and legumes, and reducing the consumption of meat, especially red meat and processed meat. <\/p>\n\n<p>Why Change the Food System?<br\/>Benefits for Human Health: A diet richer in vegetables and lower in processed meats contributes to the prevention of chronic diseases, improved cardiovascular health and increased longevity.<br\/>Positive Environmental Impact: Reducing meat consumption helps to reduce the ecological footprint, promotes the conservation of natural resources and mitigates the effects of climate change.<br\/>Systems Leadership Opportunity:<br\/>The EIT System Shifters initiative offers participants the opportunity to develop skills in systemic leadership, learning to promote meaningful change beyond their organizational roles.<\/p>\n\n<p>EIT Food Innovation collaborates with experts in collective leadership and systems change, such as Leaderscope and the Global Systems Institute, providing a practical and innovative approach.<\/p>\n\n<p>What will participants learn?<br\/>Practical experience in initiating significant systemic changes.<br\/>Addressing the challenges of food production and consumption.<br\/>Fostering turning points that generate a lasting impact on the food sector.<br\/>Program format:<br\/>Online and face-to-face sessions.<br\/>The next face-to-face session is scheduled for February 25-26, 2025, in Brussels or the United Kingdom.<br\/>Participation costs:<br\/>Corporate participants: \u20ac1,000 per session, covering all costs except travel and accommodation.<br\/>Small businesses, social enterprises or government bodies: \u20ac250 per session, with the same coverage conditions.<br\/>Participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with global leaders, explore new leadership approaches and actively contribute to a healthier and more sustainable food system in Europe.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p><a class=\"ani-eit-calls-final-btn\" href=\"https:\/\/learning.eitfood.eu\/courses\/grow-learn-autumn-school\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><span>See more information<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Category: EIT Food Status: Closed Type of opportunity: Education &amp; Training EIT System Shifters aims to drive a transformative change in the European food system, promoting sustainable and health-conscious eating habits.
