SUMMARY:EIC: EUROPEAN INNOVATION PROCUREMENT AWARDS
DESCRIPTION:Applications open until September 26 \n On June 26\, the Euro
 pean Commission will officially launch the 2024-2025 edition of the Europe
 an Innovation Procurement Awards. The objective is to stimulate the demand
  for innovation through strategies dedicated to public and private sectors
  for the procurement of services and technological goods that enhance thei
 r operations while simultaneously providing growth opportunities to startu
 ps and SMEs offering disruptive solutions.\n\nThe awards have two categori
 es:\n\n 	Innovation Procurement Initiative Category: Recognizes actions an
 d long-term strategies that trigger innovation procurement.\n 	Social Chal
 lenges Category: “Zero Emissions Industry Procurement\,” which acknowl
 edges procurement practices and innovative solutions promoting circularity
 \, energy efficiency\, and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.\n\nEach 
 category offers prizes of €75\,000 for the winner\, €50\,000 for secon
 d place\, and €25\,000 for third place. The competition is open to any p
 ublic or private buyer\, individuals\, and legal entities from EU Member S
 tates or Horizon Europe-associated countries that support innovative pract
 ices. \n\n Applications open on June 26 and close on September 26\, 2024.
